A small heterocyclic molecule as a multistate transistor: a quantum many-body approach

چکیده
Using the quantum master equation for many-body Hamiltonian, this study computationally investigates highly non-linear current–voltage characteristics such as negative differential conductance, and Coulomb blockade in a small molecular bridge.

Constructing a Body-Fixed Reference Frame for a Polyatomic Molecule
An attempt is made to show in a straightforward way how a body-fixed frame may be constructed in classical and hence in quantum mechanics for a polyatomic molecule with the aid of which the vibration-rotation behavior of the molecule may be described.
متن کاملA STUDY OF SMALL VACANCY CLUSTERS IN IRON USING MANY BODY POTENTIAL
Computer simulation techniques are employed to obtain binding energies of 2,3 and 4 vacancy clusters in a -iron using the Finnis Sinclair many body potential. The results are compared with earlier pair potential calculations. The many body potential is found to be quite successful in simulating vacancy clusters
متن کاملSolving Single and Many-body Quantum Problems: A Novel Approach
A unified approach, for solving a wide class of single and many-body quantum problems, commonly encountered in literature is developed based on a recently proposed method for finding solutions of linear differential equations. Apart from dealing with exactly and quasi-exactly solvable problems, the present approach makes transparent various properties of the familiar orthogonal polynomials and ...

Simulations of Many-Body Quantum Systems by a Quantum Computer
We suggest that quantum computers can solve quantum many-body problems that are impracticable to solve on a classical computer. The classical many-body problem has been largely solved by the classical computer. For example the position of the planets in the solar system can now be predicted with an accuracy as great as the accuracy of the observations. On the other hand, quantum many-body probl...
